Arthroplasty Fellowship
The Sunshine Bone and Joint Institute Arthroplasty Fellowship is one of the most prestigious and sought-after opportunities for Orthopaedic and Joint replacement surgeons in India. This esteemed fellowship programme is conducted under the expert guidance of the globally renowned orthopaedic and arthroplasty surgeon, Dr. A.V. Gurava Reddy along with his excellent team of consultants at the Sunshine Bone & Joint Institute in Hyderabad. The programme admits a limited number of fellows per session, offered twice a year. Prospective fellows must be registered with the Medical Council of India and possess a minimum of one year of post-MS/DNB experience.
The fellowship encompasses a comprehensive observership period of one month, followed by a 12-month fellowship programme commencing on the 1st of June and 1st of December for the June and December sessions, respectively. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of 40,000 Rs to support their learning and professional growth during the course of the fellowship.
During their stint at SBJI, fellows will directly participate in OPD, theatre work and wards and will be deeply involved in research, almost guaranteeing at least one publication in a renowned journal before they leave.
Depending on their performance during the fellowship they will be appraised by the programme runners and will be given hands-on surgical training according to how they fare.
The SBJI faculty are very passionate about teaching and they conduct weekly theory and research related classes for the fellows apart from training them in the operation room.
Selection for the fellowship programme happens twice a year (one for each batch) and includes a written exam and a zoom interview (the dates of which will be regularly updated on the SBJI website as well as circulated on social media and whatsapp groups) so please keep checking for updates.
