The 2nd edition of SOAR (Sunshine Operative Arthroplasty Course for Revision & Complex Primary Hips & Knees), hosted from June 6–8 at the Engineering Staff College of India, Gachibowli, marked a ground-breaking milestone in orthopaedic education and community service. It was a first of its kind philanthropic medical conference where education meets altruism hosted by Sarvejana Foundation in association with Sunshine Bone and Joint Institute, SMART and the South Indian Arthroplasty Academy. Over 450 delegates from across India and beyond attended, drawn by the program’s unique blend of advanced surgical training. As part of the conference, 25 free surgeries were expertly performed for patients and registration was fully waived for all attendees making SOAR 2025 a truly philanthropic educational conference.
The SOAR 2025 conference also hosted 30+ nationally and internationally renowned faculty who led live cases, interactive panels and technique-focused workshops along with 40+ intricate case discussions that provided invaluable insights into revision and primary complex hip and knee arthroplasty.
Given the overwhelming success of the 2nd edition, SOAR 2025 is poised to become an annual flagship event — continuing to shape the future of revision and complex arthroplasty through innovation, mentorship, and compassion.
Sunshine Bone and Joint Institute extends heartfelt gratitude to every faculty member, participant, patient and organisers who made SOAR 2025 a true beacon of orthopaedic teaching and altruism. We look forward to building upon this vision in the years ahead.
